Alex Lynch, DO

Alex Lynch, DO, is a general surgeon at Intermountain Health's Southridge Clinic in Riverton, Utah. He believes good surgical care starts with listening, and ensures his patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options, and he treats each patient the way he would want a member of his own family to be treated. His goal is to give thoughtful, compassionate care and to work with each patient to choose the treatment that best fits their needs.

Dr. Lynch uses minimally invasive surgical techniques across general surgery. His clinical interests include hernia surgery, gallbladder disease, foregut surgery, bariatric and metabolic surgery, and gastrointestinal surgery. He especially enjoys minimally invasive abdominal surgery. He finds it rewarding to solve complex surgical problems with these techniques while helping patients recover faster and get back to their normal lives. His fellowship training lets him offer advanced techniques when they're the right fit, but his focus is always on the treatment that's best for each patient.

Dr. Lynch takes the responsibility of being someone's surgeon seriously. He is approachable, explains things clearly, and takes time to understand what matters to each patient. He wants patients to know their surgeon is invested in their care from the first visit through recovery.

Dr. Lynch is from Palos Heights, Illinois. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and his fiancée. He also likes to stay active by running and hiking, and he enjoys exploring the outdoors and reading.
