Aimee-Marie Moncrief, LCSW

Aimee-Marie Moncrief, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker at Intermountain Health's Primary Children's - Taylorsville in Taylorsville, Utah. She is passionate about supporting caregivers and their young children during critical stages of development. She uses a brain-based, attachment-focused approach to help families understand their child's behaviors and emotional cues. Her goal is to help families build a calm, connected foundation where both parent and child can thrive.

Aimee's clinical interests include early childhood and relational health, with a focus on caregiver-child attachment and family bonding. She also provides trauma-informed care using Dr. Bruce Perry's Neurosequential Model to support emotional regulation, nervous system health, and recovery from stress. In addition, she offers parent guidance to help caregivers understand their child's unique needs, temperament, and learning style while building their confidence as parents.

Aimee's care is guided by Dr. Perry's principle of "Regulate, Relate, Reason." Patients and families can expect a warm, collaborative, and judgment-free partnership. She sees caregivers as the true experts on their children, and she meets each child where they are, both developmentally and emotionally. Her sessions offer a calm, grounded space to explore how a child's brain, nervous system, and relationships shape their experiences and behaviors. Together, she and families look beyond symptoms to build emotional regulation, create a sense of safety in relationships, and highlight each family's natural strengths. Whether she is helping a child manage big feelings, cope with stress, or strengthen family connections, she aims to provide gentle, practical tools that honor each person's unique journey.

Aimee is originally from Taylorsville, Utah. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband and their two young children. Together, they enjoy being outside, swimming, eating delicious food, and being silly. To recharge, she enjoys all things creative, especially crafting and coloring.
