Abbey J. Bentley, NP

Abbey Bentley, a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner, board-certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She works at Intermountain Health’s Primary Children’s Hospital – Comprehensive Care Clinic in Salt Lake City, and Primary Children’s Adolescent Medicine Clinic in Lehi, Utah supporting patients in Salt Lake City, Lehi, Saratoga Springs, and surrounding communities Her clinical interests include anxiety, depression, adolescent medicine, mood disorders, autism, OCD, disordered eating, transgender medicine, ADHD, and more.

Abbey has a background in children’s illustration and obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design before pursuing a career in advanced practice nursing. She earned her Master of Science degree in Nursing from Vanderbilt University and her Post-Master's Certificate in psychiatry from Johns Hopkins University.

Abbey’s background in the arts has shaped her approach to care—she prides herself on finding creative, individualized solutions that honor each person’s unique identity, strengths, and struggles. Abbey doesn’t believe in one-size-fits-all care. She approaches each encounter as an opportunity to explore, discover, and co-create a path forward. Her core—empathy and respect for individual experience—shape her approach to care. She strives to create a space where patients feel seen and heard.

Outside the clinic, the Minnesota native enjoys time with her family, skiing, mountain biking, camping, and traveling. She also continues to practice art and design and loves to read.
