About The Provider
Aaron Smith, MD is a rheumatologist at Intermountain Health's Cottonwood Medical Clinic in Murray, Utah. He is passionate about helping patients living with inflammatory arthritis and other rheumatic conditions get back to the life they love. He finds it especially rewarding to provide medications and other interventions that allow patients—who are often significantly debilitated by their disease—to regain function and return to living at a high level.
Dr. Smith is dedicated to high-quality, compassionate rheumatic care, with a special focus on point-of-care musculoskeletal ultrasound for the diagnosis and monitoring of rheumatic disease. His clinical interests include general rheumatology and point-of-care ultrasound.
As a physician, he is committed to carefully and thoughtfully approaching patient care so that his patients will be correctly diagnosed without excessive medical testing, be armed with a correct understanding of their diagnosis, and be able to be a partner in developing and following an appropriate care plan for their illness.
Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Smith has lived in many states, including Florida, North Carolina, Texas, and Utah. Outside of work, his four children are the main focus of his life. Together, the family enjoys hiking, camping, and playing games.
