Sandra Guillen, NP

Sandra “Sandi” Guillen is a nurse practitioner (NP) specializing in neonatology at Intermountain Health’s Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. She supports patients and their families who come into the NICU, helping treat prematurity, respiratory distress/failure, neonatal infection/sepsis, metabolic/feeding problems, and more. Sandi’s approach to care is inspired by Dr. Seuss’s Horton Hears a Who and its message that “a person’s a person, no matter how small.”

Sandi is passionate about bridging the gap between research and clinical care by implementing evidence-based practices in her daily work. She stays up to date with the latest scientific advancements, ensuring that each treatment plan is grounded in the most current research available. Additionally, Sandi integrates AI into her clinical process, using innovative tools to further enhance patient outcomes. By combining proven medical strategies with cutting-edge technology, she strives to deliver the highest quality care to her neonatal patients and their families.

Outside the clinic, Gigi serves Utah’s community as a current member of the Utah Air National Guard. She enjoys spending time and capturing memories with her family, including her two young daughters, whose lives consist of dance, tumbling, and soccer.
