I was really nervous about having the surgery done. After my first visit with Peter Smit, I felt a lot better about my surgery.

Dr. Smit is a great surgeon. I needed emergency surgery for a severe hiatal hernia and he was able to work me in. Also, because I live over a 100 miles away, he has been able to provide teleconference follow-up consultations without me being in person. He has been able to eleviate my concerns whenever I've called their surgical team being paranoid about changes in my recovery. I give him 5+ stars.

Dr. Smit is so warm and personable. He told me exactly what was going to happen before the surgery; and afterwards, explained in words I could understand, exactly what he had done. He treated me with respect and kindness. I can’t say enough, good things about him.
