Matthew V. Wenner, PHD

Matthew Wenner, PhD, is a psychologist at Intermountain Health’s Cottonwood Clinic – Psychiatry and Counseling in Murray, Utah. He supports patients across the Salt Lake Valley, primarily working with young adults, taking clients from age18 to approximately age 50.  He has tens of thousands of hours of therapy experience and treats a variety of psychological issues including depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, OCD, Bipolar Disorder, and eating disorders. 

In his practice, Dr. Wenner takes an integrative and collaborative approach, and utilizes concepts and tools primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Family Systems theory, and Existential Therapy.  There is an emphasis on promoting self-direction and personal choice, as well as enhancement of mindfulness, physical health, and overall wellness.
