Dr. Dodson is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Intermountain Medical Center, where Dr. Dodson is a part of the Pulmonary Hypertension Center and the Medical Director of the Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension (CTEPH) Program. Dr. Dodson completed his MD and PhD degrees at the University of California, Los Angeles, his Internal Medicine Residency also at the University of California, Los Angeles, and his Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at the University of Utah. Dr. Dodson's clinical focus is on pulmonary vascular disease, including Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH), CTEPH, and pulmonary embolism (PE) His research focuses on understanding how genetic factors influence a patient's risk for these diseases, and how genetic information can be used to improve diagnosis and treatment for these conditions.

    Dr Dodson is well aware of my complicated medical history and reviews my file before and during talking with me. He is aware of my way of dealing with my disease and is willing to work with me. He answers my questions and does not speak down to me.
