Joel Mark Ross, DO

Joel Ross, DO, is a dedicated family medicine physician in Billings, Montana, who is passionate about helping patients tackle complex health concerns. With a deep commitment to understanding the root causes of illness, Dr. Ross works closely with each patient to develop personalized strategies for improving health and achieving lasting wellness. He finds immense fulfillment in watching lives transform as patients regain vitality and well-being.

Dr. Ross’s clinical interests include family medicine, osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT), functional and alternative medicine, minor procedures, and international medical care. He believes in a whole-person approach to medicine—combining traditional and integrative techniques to offer comprehensive, individualized care.

During his training, Dr. Ross served as Chief Resident at the Montana Family Medicine Residency. He is currently pursuing a fellowship with the Academy of Wilderness Medicine, further expanding his ability to provide care in diverse and challenging environments.

More than just a doctor, Dr. Ross strives to be a trusted friend and advocate for his patients’ health, guiding them through their healthcare journey with compassion and clarity.

Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Ross is deeply involved in volunteer service. He has led rescue efforts for a non-profit organization combating international child trafficking along the U.S.–Mexico border, and has served on medical missions in Chile, Costa Rica, and Mongolia. He also enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, hiking, mountain biking, swimming, playing soccer, and exploring the outdoors.
