Janesa Marie Porter, DNP

Janesa Porter, DNP, currently works as a Pediatric Radiology Nurse Practitioner, at Intermountain Health’s Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. In her role, she performs diagnostic imaging procedures, evaluates specialized diagnostic studies, and provides direct clinical care for infants, children, and adolescents within fluoroscopy and interventional radiology. She strives to help pediatric patients live their healthiest lives possible, so they can enjoy childhood and live it to the fullest.

She is a doctorate-prepared, acute care and primary care certified, pediatric nurse practitioner specializing in caring for children from birth to early adulthood.  She has experience working as a pediatric nurse practitioner in the pediatric emergency department and pediatric urgent care. She also has experience working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Same Day Surgery and Post Anesthesia Care Unit, and general pediatrics as a registered nurse.

She is passionate about working with children who are systematically marginalized and understanding the social determinants of health of my patients and their families while applying acute care expertise.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons, and dog. They love getting outdoors, going to movies, and playing board and video games together.
