About The Provider
I moved around a lot growing up, so I tell people that I am from everywhere. I am married and have 4 wonderful children that have taught me much about life and the challenges of parenting. The challenges we have gone through as a family have provided meaning to life and helped me to improve. I attended BYU and received my bachelor's degree in special education. Then, I quickly realized I wanted to help children and families more than Special Education could allow. So, I then pursued and received my master's degree in occupational therapy from Touro University Nevada. From there, I have worked in early intervention (0-3 years of age), the school system, and in outpatient therapy services. I have also received my AOTA Board Certification in Pediatrics. Over the years, I have become very passionate about pediatric feeding therapy and have really grown to love it. I am certified in the SOS Approach to Feeding. I have also learned from multiple other feeding therapy approaches and incorporate those in therapy as well. I have worked to create our current pediatric feeding therapy program here in St George. I believe that working together with parents and caregivers is the best approach to improve the lives of our children with eating difficulties and their families.
