He prescribes medication when appropriate but places equal emphasis on education, empowering patients to take an active role in improving their health outcomes. As an African American man, I carry a deep awareness of the disparities in healthcare that too often result in delayed diagnoses, miscommunication, and undertreatment within our communities. It’s not uncommon to feel unseen or dismissed in clinical settings. That apprehension was on my mind when I first sought care. Dr. Leonard has not only met but exceeded every expectation. He takes the time to listen—truly listen—and ensures I receive the necessary tests, prescriptions, and guidance to stay well. Most importantly, he sees me fully. I don't know what happens if I have to find another doctor. I had the same doctor for the first 40 years of my life and thought I would never find another doctor as caring or knowledgeable until I found Dr Leonard! Not only is as good as my long time family doctor, he's better! Intermountain health needs to make sure they never lose him!
