About

About The Provider

Brad Hunter, MD is an Associate Professor and Medical Director for Oncology Research at Intermountain Health. His clinical interests are in blood cancers and cellular therapies (i.e., treatments that utilize immune cells to fight cancer and autoimmune diseases). Dr. Hunter mostly sees patients with leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma, as well as patients who are in need of bone marrow or stem cell transplants. He also treats patients with CAR T-cell therapy, which is a genetically modified immune cell engineered to fight various diseases.

Dr. Hunter is actively engaged in numerous clinical trials in both oncology and autoimmune disease. He co-directs a first-in-human research clinic, called a Phase I Clinic. His research interests are in novel clinical trials, as well as collaborative projects developing what is called "real-world" evidence. Real-world evidence is focused on translating research findings into the routine, daily care of patients and confirming that what is seen in clinical trials holds true for everyone else. Lastly, Dr. Hunter is passionate about the optimization of cancer care delivery, including innovative ways to get the best cancer treatments to patients regardless of where they live.

Dr. Hunter is from Murray, Utah. Outside of work, he enjoys outdoor spaces, including hiking, biking, and water sports. Dr. Hunter also loves exploring new (and favorite) locations around the world with his wife and four children.
