Ang Tshering Sherpa, MD

Dr. Ang Sherpa is a compassionate and dedicated family medicine physician serving the Thornton, Colorado community. Fluent in multiple languages and experienced in global healthcare, she provides comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals and families of all ages. Her clinical interests include chronic disease management, preventive care, lifestyle medicine, and inclusive care—especially transgender health. Dr. Sherpa is deeply committed to advocating for each patient’s unique needs and supporting them through every stage of life.

Known for her approachable demeanor and strong communication skills, Dr. Sherpa believes in building trust through open dialogue and mutual respect. She takes the time to truly listen and understand each patient’s story, delivering personalized, evidence-based care to help them achieve their health goals. Her mission is to be a supportive, reliable partner on every patient’s health journey.

Originally from Nepal, Dr. Sherpa moved to the UK for high school, where she completed her undergraduate studies and medical training. After working as a physician in the UK, she moved to the United States to complete her family medicine residency and now looks forward to building a long-term home and practice here.

Outside of work, she prioritizes quality time with her husband, their energetic toddler, and close friends. They love exploring the outdoors, going on hikes, and finding little moments of joy together. Dr. Sherpa stays active through regular workouts and makes mindfulness a part of her daily routine, which helps her stay grounded, present, and balanced both personally and professionally.
