Alexa Atkin, SLP

I grew up in Santa Clara and have always loved southern Utah’s red rocks and sunshine. I received my bachelor’s degree from Utah Tech University in psychology where I learned about child development and the benefits of play for early learning. While studying at Utah Tech, I had the opportunity to volunteer in this pediatric outpatient rehabilitation clinic and witnessed the impact speech therapy can have on individuals and families. This motivated me to earn my second bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Utah State University and my master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Utah.

I love the combination of psychology and speech disorders as I work with individuals and families to reach their communication goals. I enjoy working with children of all ages and providing personalized therapy to meet their needs. Outside of work, I enjoy mountain biking, playing volleyball, camping and spending time with my husband and two sons.
