About Abigail Kathryn Gunther

About The Provider

Abigail “Abby” Gunther is a certified nurse midwife (CNM) at Intermountain Health’s Orem OB/GYN & Nurse Midwives Clinic in Orem, Utah. She supports patients in Utah County, specializing in low-risk, low-intervention pregnancy and birth care. She is honored to support families through one of the most sacred and transformative experiences of their lives. Abby’s passion lies in creating a calm, empowering environment where patients feel informed, supported, and confident in their choices.

As a provider, Abby’s philosophy of care is rooted in a holistic approach that honors the body’s innate wisdom. Whether providing gynecologic care or supporting physiological birth, she begins with non-pharmacologic methods whenever safe and appropriate, always centering the wellbeing of both mother and baby. Her goal is to empower patients to make informed decisions throughout every stage of their reproductive journey. She is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based midwifery that celebrates the strength, resilience, and beauty of the birthing process.

Outside the clinic, the Utah native loves spending quality time with her family and being outdoors. She also enjoys hobbies that support creativity and wellness—like cooking nourishing meals, practicing mindfulness, staying active, and recently rediscovering her love for reading.
